How to pan fry Salmon

To serve as many as required.

INGREDIENTS

Salmon Fillets - 1 per person

Olive Oil - as much as required

Butter - 1 flat Tbsp per Fillet

 INSTRUCTIONS

1. Start by placing a frying pan on a medium heat.

2. Add enough Olive Oil to just cover the base of the pan.

3. Add a flat Tbsp of Butter.

4. Season the Salmon.

5. Soon as the Butter has fully melted and is foaming, lay in the Salmon, flat side down.

6. Fry the Salmon on the skin for around 2 minutes, until it starts to get crispy.

7. Turn the Salmon on to the flesh side and give it 30 seconds, before turning it on each side for 15 seconds each, then back on the skin.

8. Continue to fry on the skin for around 1-2 minutes.

9. Remove the Salmon between 4-5 minutes*

*cooking times will vary depending on the heat of the pan etc

8. Lay the Salmon flesh side down on a board to rest for 2-3 minutes, then serve.
